What is the scariest moment you ever had on a sub that you're allowed to talk about?ĩ. if someone loses their mind while underway, is there a cage or some shit that they can be kept in until the deployment is over?Ĩ. Something I've always wondered: when the sub dives, does the hull make creaking and groaning noises like it does in the movies?ħ. Does hot bunking suck as bad as it sounds like it does?Ħ. What does the CoB typically do? What's his main role?ĥ. What are captains and XO's typically like in terms of having to interact with them?Ĥ. I've heard that morale is considered a very high priority on subs and that the crews are treated (and fed) very well. Is there some sort of absolutely 100% foolproof system in place to ensure that the boat doesn't dive with people still on the bridge (or is that the sail?)?Ģ. I figure the questions below are pretty innocent.
I realize that secrecy is more important than buoyancy in the submarine business. I've been on a sub kick lately for some reason.
